What is the difference between a verified document and a trusted document?
A verified document is a document that has undergone an initial quality review by Fit4DW. This review includes checks for completeness, plausibility, and confirmation that the document has been issued by a trusted or accredited organization.
A trusted document is a document that can be securely shared within Fit4DW and accessed by authorized accredited Notified Bodies as part of the certification process.
Does Fit4DW replace certification bodies or Notified Bodies?
No. Fit4DW does not replace certification bodies, laboratories, or Notified Bodies.
The platform supports these organizations by providing a structured way to manage, share, and reuse compliance information. Certification decisions, testing activities, and conformity assessments remain the responsibility of the relevant accredited organizations.
How does Fit4DW manage NDA-protected information?
Fit4DW includes integrated NDA workflows to support the secure exchange of confidential information. Information owners can designate specific content as NDA-protected, ensuring that access is only granted after the required NDA has been signed and accepted electronically.
What is a trusted document within Fit4DW?
A trusted document is a compliance-related document that can be securely shared through Fit4DW and accessed exclusively by authorized accredited Notified Bodies as part of the certification process.
Are formulations shared through Fit4DW?
No. Fit4DW does not share formulations or other confidential proprietary information with third parties. Information exchange within the platform is limited to final testing packages where required and is only accessible to accredited Notified Bodies participating in the certification process and connected to the Fit4DW ecosystem.
What does “verified” mean in Fit4DW?
A verified document has undergone an initial quality review by Fit4DW. This review includes checks for completeness, plausibility, and confirmation that the document has been issued by a trusted or accredited organization.
Who can access trusted documents?
Trusted documents can only be shared with accredited Notified Bodies and only with the explicit consent of the information owner.

Can I leave Fit4DW and retrieve my information?
Yes. Organizations retain ownership of the information they upload to Fit4DW.
